The ZKTeco K40 Time & Attendance Terminal Machine is a compact biometric device designed to manage employee attendance and basic access control in offices, factories, schools, and other workplaces. With reliable fingerprint recognition technology and a user-friendly interface, this device helps organizations record employee working hours accurately and improve workplace security.
The terminal features a 2.8-inch TFT color display that provides a clear interface for users and administrators. Employees can verify their identity using fingerprint authentication, and optional RFID card support can also be enabled for additional access methods. The system is capable of storing around 1,000 fingerprints (expandable to 2,000) and up to 80,000 attendance records, making it suitable for small to medium-sized businesses.
For connectivity, the device supports TCP/IP networking and USB Host communication, allowing administrators to easily download attendance logs or manage data through attendance software. The verification speed is under 0.5 seconds, ensuring quick check-ins even during busy office hours.
The K40 also includes basic access control functionality, meaning it can be connected to devices such as electric door locks, exit buttons, or external bells. A built-in backup battery ensures the machine continues operating during short power outages, helping maintain accurate attendance records without interruption.
