The ZKTeco FR1500S Biometric Fingerprint Reader (without Adapter) is a durable external fingerprint reader designed for access control systems and time attendance solutions. It works as an auxiliary reader connected to access control panels or biometric terminals, allowing users to verify identity through fingerprint or RFID card authentication for secure door entry.
The FR1500S is equipped with ZKTeco’s advanced SilkID fingerprint sensor, which provides fast and accurate fingerprint detection even in challenging conditions. The device captures high-resolution fingerprint images and sends the encrypted data to the connected controller through RS485 communication, ensuring secure and reliable identity verification.
This reader is built with a stainless-steel front casing and IP65 protection, making it resistant to dust and water. Because of this rugged design, the FR1500S can be installed both indoors and outdoors, such as at building entrances, office doors, factories, or secure facilities.
The device also supports 125 kHz RFID cards as a standard feature, with optional compatibility for 13.56 MHz IC cards and HID cards, giving organizations flexible authentication methods depending on their security setup.
